IIS Server Backup

The folders detailed below for backup may also be checked for periodic cleaning/archiving of old data which is no longer required. These are identified below.

Do not delete these without archiving them and ensuring that there are no adverse effects. Contact your vendor or the CallScripter helpdesk for further advice.

The ROOT folder refers to the high level CallScripter folder on your IIS Server. This can be identified from the IIS Site location path and is the parent folder of this path (IIS points to the wwwRoot folder in the CallScripter folder).

Theese key folders that contain content generated by operation of the application should be backed up regularly. Do not archive these folders off. If there is a fatal server platform failure these will be required to restore your CallScripter generated scripts and reports to their full operational status:

·     [ROOT]\wwwroot\images
·     [ROOT]\CallScripter Data\Dictionaries
·     [ROOT]\CallScripter Data\Reports\ReportTemplates
·     [ROOT]\CallScripter Data\Reports\ReportAttachments

The application generated data (report outputs, data imports & exceptions, etc) will grow with use of the system. These folders may be archived off. This provides a level of auditing of what the system has output and been loaded with in terms of data. On high usage systems these folders can grow quickly and can require frequent archiving. Backup of these folders is optional, depending upon your business requirements:

·     [ROOT]\CallScripter Data\Campaign Data
·     [ROOT]\CallScripter Data\Reports\ReportFiles

The key configuration files for backup should also be backed up regularly. They also contain system settings that will be specific to your use of the application in your organization:

·     [ROOT]\wwwroot\web.config
·     [ROOT]\wwwroot\CustomSplashItems.xml

Where the optional CallScripter Billing module is in use, the folders listed here will contain the billing output based on exact module usage (some folders may not have any content in them). The CSV, Files & Billing folders may be archived off. The output that creates these files are recorded within the database, as such backup is optional:

·     [ROOT]\wwwroot\billing\csv
·     [ROOT]\wwwroot\billing\files
·     [ROOT]\wwwroot\billing\images
·     [ROOT]\CallScripter Data\Billing

Where the optional CallScripter Import Service is in use, then this additional folder will contain all attachments from emails saved in to them. This folder may be archived off if required:

·     [ROOT]\CallScripter Data\InboundEmailAttachments\

All Imported, Exported and Copied scripts will result in files saved in to the Exports folder and so this can be cleared out periodically if desired. This folder may be archived off if required.

·     [ROOT]\CallScripter Data\Controls\Exports\
