Importing, Exporting and Transferring ScriptsThe Import/Export buttons (found beneath the script list in the Script Editor) are used to create a .exp file, which can be saved and moved between different instances of CallScripter. Note that where controls exist in the version you are exporting from, but not in the version you are exporting to, they will also be transferred. Be careful when importing from older systems to ensure that you do not inadvertently import old versions of controls into your newer system.
IMPORTANT NOTE! Depending on the complexity of the script, number of users, size of your database, amongst other factors, copying, importing and exporting scripts may result in high server load which in extreme cases can affect system use. Best practice shows that importing, exporting and copying of scripts is best done when the system is not in use.
Exporting a ScriptDouble click on the Customer Name (within the Script Editor) to view the script list, and click on the Export button. Select the script to be exported, and click on the Export button.
The file will be saved as a .exp file, and with the option to open or save the file.
Importing a ScriptClick on the Import Version button, and use the Browse button to find and upload the script.
Note than in CallScripter versions prior to 4.5.19, importing and exporting of scripts is carried out using the Script Transfer Wizard. See the knowedgebase Script Transfer Wizard Article for more information.
