HTML Templates can be used to produce rich output files, including links, images and so on, for many purposes, but are most commonly used to generate HTML emails to be sent within a script.
HTML emails must be sent in the body of an email, and cannot be sent using the 'preview report runner' controls.
The procedure for downloading the template, editing it and uploading it is the same as for a plain text template.
Note: The SCRD tags must be in the same order that they are on the report fields tab in the report designer and can only be used once
Note: Older versions of CallScripter (v4.5.16 and previous) must have a registered copy of Persits AspEmail on the CallScripter server.. A free basic copy of this program is installed with CallScripter, however you will need to register your copy for full functionality including the handling of HTML emails.
