What are the minimum system requirements to run CallScripter?
 
What browsers are compatible with CallScripter?
CallScripter runs in Microsoft Internet Explorer.
 
Where is the script and campaign data stored?
CallScripter data is stored in a Microsoft SQL Server Database.
 
What programming languages can be used in CallScripter?
Within the script building section of the application JavaScript and SQL is used in some of the more advanced scripting controls. The .Net framework can be utilised to extend the functionality of the application or build complex controls.
 
Can CallScripter link to 3rd party applications and databases?
CallScripter has been successfully integrated with a number of external applications. However, the success of this depends on other factors (for example, any security settings, etc), so please contact the CallScripter Helpdesk for further information.
 
Can CallScripter be used with a predictive dialler?
CallScripter can, and has been successfully integrated with diallers, allowing customers to streamline their contact centre functions. Please contact the Sales team to discuss any requirements you may have.
 
Can a 'live' call, together with information gathered in the script, be transferred to another agent?
Yes, the script can be transferred using the Transfer Script icon (whilst working in the script), and the call transferred as usual.
 
Does the system offer data encryption for security purposes?
Some controls contain an "encrypt data" option, allowing the data entered to be encrypted. An encryption tool is available to allow both users and recipients of this data to encrypt/decrypt as required.  From release 32 this is available in the wwwroot\client_tools\encryption folder.

Does CallScripter have multilingual translations?
CallScripter currently has a number of language translations including: UK English, German, French, Dutch, Russian, Ukrainian, Hungarian and Turkish. This range of languages is changing, so please contact Professional Services for further information.
 
Can CallScripter display our company logo in the Agent Desktop?
Yes, this can be applied to your version for a small yearly fee, contact the helpdesk for further information.
 
Can the script controls be either modified, or new controls created?
The Control Editor icon (within the System Manager) allows users with the appropriate technical knowledge to make changes to the suite of standard controls provided, or create new ones if required. Any controls created/modified by users are not supported unless they are approved by CallScripter.
 
Can CallScripter scripts be copied, either to use for another purpose, or between CallScripter systems?
Yes in both instances. A script can be copied from one customer to another and reused as necessary. A script can also be copied from one system to another using the script transfer tool. This tool is also available to download from the support area of the website.
 
How can usernames and passwords be viewed and changed?
Users who have a System Administrator licence will be able to access and modify this information in the User Manager module. The actual text of passwords cannot be viewed, hence System Administrators will only be able to reset a password, not remind users of it.
 
Can I run two scripts at the same time?
Scripts can be linked together, and set to either open a new script, or in a separate Window.
 
I can't see an "undo" button - how can I recover lost/deleted data?
In most cases data is marked as "deactivated" in the CallScripter SQL tables, rather than physically deleted. If you need to recover information please contact the CallScripter Helpdesk for further guidance.
 
Can CallScripter deal with skills based routing? (certain users/skill levels only get presented with certain scripts)
Yes, individual user accounts can be allocated to groups, which in turn are linked to specific scripts. This controls which agents access and view which scripts.
 
How can I ensure agents complete script fields accurately, and enter good quality data?
Some controls allow standard field validations to be applied. Tailored validations can also be written using a Calculate control.
 
Does the system support conditional routing? (for example, date of birth determines which product or service is offered.
This is achieved via a conditional button script control in most cases. For more complex requirements a calculate control (with the appropriate validation code) can be used.
 
Can CallScripter send emails and text messages?
Yes, both emails and text messages can be sent as part of a script run using the Email and SMS controls.
 
Is there a spell checking facility within CallScripter?
Yes, a spell checker is available to check the data taken during the script run.
 
Does the system have 'store locator' type functionality within it?
CallScripter can integrate with certain postcode software, including those that provide a "nearest to" search function.
