Button - Component Link Control

Button - Component Link Control

To the agent running the script, a component button will appear in the same way as any other button control.  The agent experience is that they are simply moving to the next page in the current script, however in reality, the button is launching a component script, which the agent then works through, eventually finishing the component script and returning to the script from which it was linked.  Changing a component script changes all scripts within which that component is used.

Field Information

1. Field Information
Displays the current field name and pages on which it is used.  The Field Information button gives further information including links to the pages that the field is used on and details of any reports in which it is used.
2

Field Name

2. Field Name
Give your field an appropriate name.  This is particularly important if using it in a calculation or report.  Changing a field name will not automatically update corresponding reports that use that field.
3

Auto Click

3. Auto Click
Specify whether the button should be clicked automatically after a predetermined period of time.
4

Component Link

4. Component Link
Link to a component Script.  For versions pre 4.5.33 only components for the current customer will be shown in the dropdown list.  Versions 4.5.33+ will allow components to be linked regardless of the customer folder they are stored in. Components can be copied between customers in the same way as any other script, but they become independent copies of that component and need to be updated separately.

Styling
